So walking back to work from lunch he sees an unusual older Porsche. It is across the street, but there is a distinctive gold script on the rear deck lid. Fortunately the car pulls into a lot close by. By the time he chases it down in the parking lot the owner is long gone, but he is able to snap a few shots and leave his card. The distinctive script does not say 'Sportomatic' though, it says "Speedster" but a look inside reveals the distinctive two pedal layout of an early Sportomatic. What an ultimate dream California car, the ease and pleasure of a Sportomatic, the distinctive looks and style of the Speedster, a car that is all Porsche.
Rosie is kind enough to email him back but due to changing jobs and economic issues we have not been able to follow up, so the full story on this unusual and amazingly attractive looking Sportomatic Speedster must wait another day ....
